Omodos is a traditional Cypriot village located in the Troodos mountains. Currently, it is a tourist village that has retained its ancient beauty and flavor, since ancient times famous for winemaking and orchards, narrow streets, picturesque views, taverns, as well as ancient stone buildings with carved wooden balconies, a special place among which is occupied by the Monastery of the Holy Cross, where several important relics, including a piece of the Life-Giving Cross and the Holy Hemp Rope used by the Romans to tie Christ to the Cross.
